2009 - 2011KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED :
- Developing and organizing our commercial activities with large European energy suppliers focusing on street lighting and non-residential building,
- Defining and coordinating the Company’s commercial strategy for energy efficient lighting solutions & services towards key EMEA energy suppliers and ESCOs
- Lobbying towards public stakeholders and sectors’ association in the various European countries for adequate legislation on energy efficient lighting for buildings and road,
- Managing a team of 16 key account managers throughout EMEA.
2003 - 2009KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED :
- Developing market-share and profits in 14 Southern African countries for our entire lighting products portfolio,
- Leading a team of 30 people (5 direct reports)
- Deployment of a comprehensive segment strategy for South Africa,
- Lobbying towards various public stakeholders (Eskom, SAPP, NEEA, DoE) to facilitate the roll-out of our GreenSwitch initiatives and products,
- Acting key account manager for various SADC (Southern Africa Development Community) electricity utilities, developing energy efficient lighting schemes for their DSM programs.
- Member of the Philips South Africa and Philips Lighting MEA boards of management.
1999 - 2003KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED :
- Developing Philips market-share and profits in Morocco for the Company's overall Lighting portfolio,
- Leading a team of 18 people (6 direct reports),
- Acting key account manager for our largest customers in the traditional market (soukh) and modern electrical wholesales channels,
- Development of the Project channel,
- Member of the Philips Electronique Maroc board of management.
1998 - 1999Within STE, a Tunisian JV producing and distributing luminaires for North and Sub-Saharan Africa, subsequently acquired by Philips, I was in charge of developing the export sales, particularly in Western Africa and the Middle-East.
1996 - 1997The Company, with HQ in Bordeaux (France) is a subsidiary of the world leader Sonepar Group.
Reporting to the Sales Director, I opened a liaison office and managed the sales of electrical and lighting products exported to Tunisian electrical wholesalers and contractors.
